One could also include the importation of Electricity via the interconner from Wales to the Republic of Ireland
This interconnector has the capability to carry in the region of 350 MWh of Electricity .
This safety net is being utilised by the Republic of Ireland to prevent the lights going out.
Both the interconnecor from Northern Ireland and the interconnector from Wales could potentially have no available Electricity to export to the Republic of Ireland in the near future.
Potential major problems for Minister Eamonn Ryan and and his Government Partners.
Leo Varadkar and Tanaiste Michael Martin.
The construction of the new Natural-Gas Electricity Generating Station in Northern Ireland due to commence production in October 2023 will now be delayed until we'll into 2024.
The ageing Coal fired stations which will cease production as planned in late 2023.
The Republic of Ireland imports up to 400 + MWh of Electricity from Northern Ireland.
The real possibility this safety net of importation of Electricity will not be available.
In addition 3 Coal fired Electricty Generating Stations in England are being decommissioned at present.
This will place the United Kingdom Electricity supply grid under severe stress.
This article delivers the non blinkered insight as to the consequences of no direct supply of Electricity to the Republic of Ireland from Northern Ireland.

Crosby warren( EOG) , Whisby, West Firsby(EOG) about 41 bopd net to EOG, so a decline for Dec 2021 when that was around 72 bopd net to EOG. , and over 80 bopd early in 2021
Probably could do with an acid job to get them flowing good again
FRom NSA data for May 23,
Wressle 778 bopd, seems fairly steady( slight variance) over last 9 months
Crosby warren( EOG) , Whisby, West Firsby(EOG) about 41 bopd net to EOG, so a decline for Dec 2021 when that was around 72 bopd net to EOG. , and over 80 bopd early in 2021
The share price will always drift lower over time without any news updates.
Anyone know what's happening at Wressle in real time. Ujo have yet to report 17m revenues.
Slow decline atm waiting on news it gets to 1p I’ll load up more
Reasonable question Biggleswerf, my understanding of the current Irish Government's position & the current law, is that all valid licences will be honoured (allegedly, but yet to be seen under Ryan) & no new licences will be issued. I can not imagine any timed out licence, being put back up for sale by Ryan, so Vermillion + CPPIB can not play the waiting game. And Vermillion + CPPIB have a relatively recent $4Billon undersea & on land gas infrastructure investment going to rust, if they don't do a deal with either EOG (by Dec/Jan) or PRD or both, plus maybe a Corrib deep drill.
All to play for !!!! GLA, DYOR, DAB
I don’t know legal position on licence surrender - but DNO surrendered the Edge licence which is also a Corrib gas play previously operated by CNOC when Ryan wouldn’t sign it over to us and I’ve seen no mention of it being back up for sale. Equally we would presumably still have possession of all the technical data on Inishkea so anyone else would want/need this. I suspect if we surrender the licence because Irish Gov blocking, then it will just fall away.
That is a possibility not up to date on the legality of a permit tbh just hoping they sort it very soon
So what’s to stop the Vermillions of this world waiting so they don’t have to share it then? Would the re-application be even more hassle?
Yes if it does expire it goes back up for sale but am hoping we here some news very soon on that front imho
I’m referring to inishkea
Just out of interest , If it gets to January and there is no farmin or Jv will EOG have to relinquish the licence? Then if something changes in the future could another company re-apply for the same licence or is it dead in the water there after?
Agree could 10 bag from here on good news
Our interest was purchased in the North Sea. We now have a nice percentage in an oil field with a good chance of flowing successfully. No account for this in our current share price. No account for the increase expected at wressle and No account for fingers crossed the amazing prospects of our Irish play.
If and when any of these gets into play I think 10 bagging could be a possibility.
Just my thoughts on what I consider is a good investment and I first bought in at 28p way back. Waiting patiently now and very happy with the situation we are in.
Or j/v Brez
Yes Gerry
31834 was my buy
@serif. I'm probably in a minority here but I certainly see this from a different prospective. I believe we will see a farmout of Inishkea.
We had one last week as well. PIs sell for a few days then someone is coming in and hoovering it all up. Someone clearly has a different view of how things are progressing!

Examinership approved and interesting to note that as part of the court submissions, Vevan and their legal team are of the opinion that a judicial review would be successful,..GL S
Gardener, sorry to rain further on the Inishkea parade, but Minister Ryan introduced new discretionary guidelines, that oil & gas drill companies, need to have net assets of 3 1/2 times the drilling cost. (This is the rule on which Barryroe(formerly Providence), was forced into liquidation/examinership recently (still up in the air)).
For one $50/70M drill, half of which might just be the cost of shipping the rig there & back, I suggest again a multi company, multi drill program, combining EOG's Inishkea prospects + a Corrib deep drill ($$$Vermillion+ $$$CPPIB) + PRD's Corrib South prospects. Sharing rig costs & drilling risks, we can all be very successful & Ryan cannot block it, without being subject to a huge ECT claim for introducing new arbitrary rules to block exploration (a la Rockhopper).
I posted more about the 3.5 times guidelines on PRD last month. GLA, DAB.
