Yes, I've noticed that, Sharesport. I'm sure he's got some flexibility built into his timeline, and let's face it, if the planning permission goes back a bit, that doesn't necessarily hold up progress on everything else. There are lots of other things that can be going on behind the scenes such as ordering components and even starting to build parts of the G3 unit off-site.
Hi Piltick, When the subject of commercialisation comes up Keith always seems to be clear on this that it will be in 2018.
Many thanks for the feedback toulouz
I too went to the show but early, arriving at 9.45. I caught Keith and the young engineer from Chester on their stand and had a long chat. Keith is so enthusiastic and went thro all the advantages I was already aware of. I asked about the payroll and he has 7 full time employees now so minimal costs. I said he had a great free backer in Paul who was so promotional for the Company encouraging shareholders to advise their MPs, etc. Keith said he had worked at this for years for a pittance, but his daughter and son were doing well in life and he was desirous of leaving his mark on mankind with his invention. Save the world stuff !! We discussed the planning application going forward and Keith said all being well they hoped to get the pilot plant commissioned by the end of this year. Each plant to process 25 tons per day would cost an estimated 5 mil. The next question was how were they going to raise the funds? A placing which would dilute the shares? Or institutional investors coughing up the funds? Keith said should it be a placing hopefully the share price would rise above the effects of dilution. As an existing sharehoder I wished us all good luck and departed. I then later caught Paul and another empoyee, John a biologist, having coffee. I joined them to chat further. Paul is tremendously knowledgble and comes from being an adviser in the City, Hargreaves Landsdown. He said the government says they cannot just support one Company .. but he pointed out it is only just one .. unique .. there is no other Company. We reiterated prior conversations I had with Keith and of course it was all upbeat stuff. Upon reflection I never asked a question was their any public danger of a plant running Ultra high temperatures such as this. Could they explode? Haha you have to look at every angle. I then went to the LSE stand and met one of their interviewers. They know their web site is crap atm and they said it was being sorted. They also said they DO monitor and ban folk with the wrong agenda which ADFN do not .. anything goes there. But it was so difficult to weed out bad posters. Opinions can and do vary and there is always two sides to a coin. I am also invested in Elecosoft (2 years and 130% up atm) So went and met their CEO who was upbeat about their turnaround from manufacturing to software. Now on recurring revenues their half year accounts will be out this month. Left the show at 12.30 midday to get the train home to Bedfordhire. Interesting day alltold. GLA :)
Great feedback there balman. Anyone (obvious the problem person understands this isnt addressed to him) out there tracked via Chester council planning portal our progress. Cannot find anything listed, nothing under the obvious.
Obtaining planning permission is not a critical success factor - surely it should be a given on a purpose built energy from waste site ? Of far greater challenge will be obtianing planning permissions for future Mosuetraps particularly if they are to be sited in the sort of locations advanced on here. Does KA enjoy good relationships with local councillors on a nationwide basis. Come on, its another load of old flannel, a diversion from the key objective of achieving a proven and tested commercial Mousetrap, which still seems far, far away. On funding, KA is hardly going to say he is looking at options to maximise the dilution that shareholders will suffer, although he is already doing a pretty good job on that front. Also a little worrying that the only feedstock that seems to fit the bill currently is shreeded, pre-screened tyre rubber. Seems to be a lot talking and little doing here.
Many thanks for the feedback balman and comments by other posters and holders. I will also make a point of contacting the company.
Thanks for that balman. I had a feeling that he would still be sticking to his target of first commercial G3 this year, so it's good to hear that. I have exchanged emails with Keith in the past, and have been meaning to speak with him on the phone but just never got round to it. I will make a point of doing that soon.
thanks guys, Piltick there may be some small slippage here but 1) I believe Keith was being ultra conservative on the approval expectations - so "within 2 months" could be next week for all we know! 2) I forgot to mention but I did ask if we were definitely going commercial this year to which he replied "Yes!" very convincingly I'd like to add that I found Keith very approachable and firmly believe that if more investors or even those sitting on the fence were to engage with him, he may be able to allay some of the concerns. It's no point looking to others or pointing the accusing finger if you're not prepared to do some of your own research and prove to yourself if investing here is a good idea.
Hi Balman, thanks for taking the time to feedback from the show, good stuff!
Thanks balman. Always good to get feedback from these events. If Keith is expecting planning permission within the next two months, depending on local council, then that indicates to me slippage of possibly about 2 months from the previous timeline which suggested "breaking ground" on site around April. Seems to me that may go back to around June, but of course that may or may not push back the ultimate target of having the commercial G3 up and running by the end of this year.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts balman.
Good Morning, was going to post this last night but didnt get round to it. I got there around 3pm, went straight to the Powerhouse stand and saw Keith and 3 others speaking to interested investors, I waited my turn. Ive been in contact previously with Keith via email so introduced myself he thanked me for my support of the company and we had a chat about the show, the company etc. I dont believe he told me anything that was not in public knowledge obviously this being a public forum for investors to discuss the merits of an organisation. His enthusiasm is real, he is very passionate about the firm and what has been achieved so far and what it can achieve. I asked him what the next crucial steps were, this is what he said: 1) Awaiting planning permission (hes hoping within the next 2 months but reliant on local council). He says the relationship is very good.) 2) They are finalising orders for the parts suppliers 3) Funding hes looking at different options and will choose the method that best fits the company and shareholders (trying to avoid further dilution if possible) There was an engineer there who I had a brief chat with, he is responsible for testing all the different types of plastic feedstock (apparently there are 6 types) to see what combination will work best in order to tune the syngas output. They are happy with the syngas from the rubber shredding process. I attended the stage presentation that Keith gave, delivered very well with some of the slides from the recent publication. I then walked around to speak to the other attendees (Curzon Energy, Condor Gold, Cadence amongst others). Finally, I went back to say bye to the team and wish them luck Keith asked how I found the presentation and if there was anything he could have done to improve it! I gave him a couple of suggestions which he and Kate (company secretary I hope I got the name right!) said they would take on board. Oh yeah, I also met Wazza! I had a nice chat with him, he travelled quite far to get to the event and of course he is very passionate about the firm. The event was well attended, Id say roughly 1500 people at that time, but I guess people came and went earlier in the day last year there were approx. 5000 visitors. Sorry I dont have any new news to share but I am comfortable with what has been achieved and the next steps that will launch us into the commercial phase. I am also happy that Keith is the right person for the firm and with both his and Wazzas commitment we should start to see some real company making events take place soon. For those people who are always posting negative crap as I said before, come back and tell people when it time to invest! In the meantime take a break.
