Biofutures International plc01 June 2006 For Immediate Release 1 June 2006 Biofutures International plc Statement re Press Speculation The Company has noted recent press speculation concerning the possibleacquisition of a biodiesel plant in Malaysia. The company is in early stagediscussions with a Malaysian company concerning the possible acquisition of aproject to construct a biodiesel plant in Malaysia. Should binding terms beagreed in respect of this project, the acquisition would amount to a reversetakeover under the AIM rules. The Company has requested that its shares be suspended pending the outcome ofthese discussions.
