European Motor Hldgs PLC19 December 2006 EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES The Company received notification on 18 December 2006 that as at the close ofbusiness on 14 December 2006, UBS AG, acting through various of UBS AG'sbusiness groups and legal entities, had a material interest in 7,938,315ordinary shares in the Company representing 14.49 per cent of the issued sharecapital of that class and a non material interest in 209,864 ordinary shares,resulting in a total of 8,148,179 ordinary shares representing 14.88 per cent ofthe issued share capital of that class. Of the material interest disclosed above, 6,324,925 ordinary shares representing11.55 per cent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS AG LondonBranch and 1,613,390 ordinary shares representing 2.95 per cent of the Company'sissued share capital are held by UBS Global Asset Management Life Limited.
