Extension of Deadline for Overallotment Option

Hummingbird Resources plc (AIM: HUM), the West African gold company, announces that further to its Placing and Subscription to raise approximately £45.8 million to fund construction at its Yanfolila Gold Project in Mali as announced on 2 June 2016, the Company reports that in response to investor enquiries, it has agreed with RFC Ambrian Ltd to extend the deadline for applications under the Overallotment Option of up to 31,260,000 shares at 22p from 13 June 2016 to 17 June 2016.

Following this extension, results of the Overallotment Option will be announced by the Company on 20 June 2016. All other terms of the Overallotment Option, including dates, remain as set out in the announcement of 2 June 2016 with admission of new shares allotted under the Placing and Subscription (as defined therein) and the Overallotment Option, if exercised, expected to occur on 21 June 2016, following the General Meeting of shareholders to approve the transactions on 20 June 2016.
