Director/PDMR Shareholding

Akers Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKER) (AIM: AKR.L), (the "Company" or "Akers Bio"), a developer of rapid health information technologies, announces that, pursuant to the Company's 2017 Incentive Stock and Award Plan, 150,000 Restricted Shares have been issued to John J. Gormally, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the Company, and 36,277 Restricted Shares have been issued to Gary Rauch, Vice President, Finance and Treasurer of the Company.

Application will be made for 186,277 shares of the Company's restricted common stock of no par value ("Restricted Shares") to be admitted to trading on AIM. Following Admission of the Restricted Shares, which is expected to take place on or around 26 October 2017, the Company's issued share capital will consist of 9,474,522 common shares with no common shares held in treasury. Therefore, the above figure of 9,474,522 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
