Port Erin, the AIM listed company focused on investing in the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical sectors, announces that the Company was today notified that Mr Jim Mellon, the Non-executive Chairman of Port Erin, today acquired 70,000 ordinary shares of 0.0001 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 8.25 pence per Ordinary Share. Accordingly, Mr Mellon is now interested, in aggregate, in 3,410,000 Ordinary Shares representing approximately 10.33 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
