Reliance Energy Ld27 April 2007 Sub: Changes in the Board of Reliance Energy Limited Pursuant to Clause 30 of the listing agreement entered with the Indian StockExchanges, we wish to notify the following changes in the Board of Directors ofthe Company. a. In keeping with the best of global governance practice of separating the positions of Chairman and executive position on the Board, Shri Anil D Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director has stepped down as Managing Director of the Company. He will continue as Chairman of the Board and of the Company in non-executive position. b. Shri Satish Seth, Executive Vice Chairman, has stepped down from the executive position. He will continue as Vice Chairman of the Board in non-executive position. c. Shri Lalit Jalan has been appointed as Whole-time Director on the Board.
