North Midland Construction PLC25 May 2006 North Midland Construction plc (the "Company") 25 May 2006 APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR North Midland Construction PLC today approved the appointment of Mark Blakewayas a Director of the Company with effect from 24 May 2006. Mark Blakeway is an experienced engineer and manager in the Civil EngineeringIndustry, with experience in the water, power and industrial sectors. He hasparticular experience in the Water Industry at both project and managementlevel. Mark joined North Midland Construction in 1984 and has successfully progressedup the management ladder. Mark has a 'Professional Diploma in Management' and iscurrently studying for a 'MSc in Management' at Loughborough University. There are no further matters to be disclosed under paragraph LR 9.6.13 of theListing Rules. RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR The Board of North Midland Construction PLC announce that Mr G Beetles, aged 65,resigned as a non-executive director of the Company at the conclusion of theboard meeting held on 24 May 2006. The Board would like to take this opportunityto thank him for his loyalty, help and guidance over the last ten years and wishhim a long and happy retirement.
