Transactions in own shares
Whitbread PLC ("Whitbread") announces today that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 76 122/153 pence each on the London Stock Exchange and Multilateral Trading Facilities from J.P. Morgan Securities plc. Such purchase was effected pursuant to instructions issued by Whitbread on 18 October 2023, as announced on 18 October 2023:

Whitbread intends to cancel the purchased shares.
Since 18 October 2023, Whitbread has purchased 8,279,491 shares at a cost (excluding dealing and associated costs) of £278,527,082.29 .
Following settlement of the above transaction, Whitbread will hold 12,454,718 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 197,538,267 ordinary shares in issue.
