Weir Group PLC04 July 2005 THE WEIR GROUP PLC 4 July 2005 Fidelity International Limited ('Fidelity') and FMR Corp notified The Weir GroupPLC ("the Company") on 4 July 2005 that their material interest now totalled aholding of 22,405,400 ordinary shares in the Company representing 10.82% of theCompany's issued share capital as detailed in the table below, and that suchnotification also comprised the interest of Edward C. Johnson III as a principalshareholder of Fidelity and FMR Corp. The notification of change is due to a disposal of 1,183,661 ordinary shares.
