Pre-close trading and Board update
Van Elle, the geotechnical engineering contractor offering a wide range of specialist foundation solutions and techniques to customers in a variety of UK construction end markets, is issuing the following trading update ahead of announcing its preliminary results for the twelve months ended 30 April 2017 on 26 July 2017.
Further to the announcement of 22 March 2017, conditions in Van Elle's key markets were unchanged to the end of the fourth quarter and, consequently, the Board expects to report results for the year ended 30 April 2017 in line with its revised expectations.
Van Elle has begun the current financial year positively and continues to secure new work across all four of its Divisions. In addition, to complement its current capabilities, the Group has strengthened the senior management team with several key divisional appointments to support the growth and ambition of the business.
The Group is also pleased to confirm that Adrian Barden will take up the role of Non-Executive Chairman of Van Elle from 1 June 2017, having been undertaking this role on an acting basis since 23 December 2016. As a result, Robin Williams will become the Senior Independent Director, also with effect from 1 June 2017. The Board continues to focus on building the Group's platform for the future and has started the process to recruit an additional independent Non-Executive Director.
