Sarantel receives volume orders for antenna used in innovative seismic probe 

Sarantel Group PLC, (AIM: SLG, 'Sarantel'), a leading manufacturer of high-performance, miniature filtering antennas for mobile and wireless devices, has received volume production orders for its GeoHelix GPS antenna used in a seismic probe which promises to revolutionize the natural resource exploration process.

The seismic probe uses Sarantel's GeoHelix GPS antenna as part of a precision timing circuit which enables the probe to gather highly accurate geological survey data. These remote probes can be deployed over a large geographic area and replace expensive and time consuming manual survey procedures. Sarantel believes the deal will have a material impact on revenues over the next 12 months.  

Sarantel's GeoHelix GPS filtering antenna offers an omni-directional gain pattern which provides the customer stable and reliable GPS performance across a wide range of installation environments.

Separately, Qualcomm has selected Sarantel's GeoHelix GPS antenna in its Femtocell Station ModemTM (FSMTM) reference design to be used in product development, also because of the advantages provided by its omni-directional gain pattern.
