Novo IVC to unveil new iOS version of SkyPOS software at ARC 2014

Leamington Spa, UK - 2nd June, 2014: Novo IVC, a Belgravium Technologies PLC company and pioneers in providing innovative logistics process automation solutions for the airline and rail sectors, has announced today that it will be unveiling and demonstrating a brand new Apple iOS version of its SkyPOS on-board point of sale solution at Airline Retail Conference (ARC) 2014.

" iOS is one of many new user interfaces that we have developed for SkyPOS," explained Bill Codd, General Manager at Novo IVC. "In the last 12 to 18 months we have seen a significant increase in the variety of mobile devices that our airline and onboard catering customers are using to deliver enhanced service throughout the duration of a flight. Our latest developments of SkyPOS will mean that our customers will be able to use the same software that they know and trust on iOS, Android and Windows based operating systems." 

Novo developers utilised the organisations new Multi-Platform Software Development Suite (MSDS) to produce the three distinct OS variants of SkyPOS. MSDS offers clear advantages to both developers and clients, namely;

· Easy to bespoke core software

· Stable version management, with any new features & enhancements rapidly rolled out to all clients

· Genuine multi-platform compatibility ensures new software installations are able to run on legacy hardware devices 

The new iOS, Android and Windows based versions of SkyPOS, which is trusted by more airlines than any other onboard retail solution worldwide, will continue to deliver the same powerful functionality to facilitate onboard sales optimisation. Key features of the solution include the ability to process a wide variety of payment types such as cash, foreign currency, travellers cheques and credit cards, as well as seamless integration with back office systems to improve the speed of stock and cash reconciliation.

Each of the new user interfaces will continue to deliver an intuitive touch screen user experience, in the case of Apple iOS via the company's patented multi-touch 'gesture' technologies. This will ensure ease of use for the crew and increase the speed of transaction processing. In addition to the vending of standard onboard merchandise including food, beverages and duty free items, Novo IVC's SkyPOS software also offers airlines the ability to sell Virtual Products. This provides airline's with an endless inventory of ancillary revenue streams, popular examples of which include onward travel and theme park tickets.
