Non-Executive Director Appointment

Trifast plc ('Trifast' or ''the Company') announces the appointment to the Board with effect from 1 July 2009 of Jonathan Shearman as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Company's Remuneration Committee. 

Jonathan, (aged 38) has extensive City experience having worked for over 15 years within the UK Small-Cap arena. He holds a BSc. in Economics and Economic History and an Investment Management Certificate. Jonathan started his career in the Midlands in 1993 and spent 10 years with HSBC James Capel/Williams De Broe where he became Head of Equity Sales and played a major role in the team achieving 'Top3 Extel rated' status. After a brief spell with KBC Peel Hunt, he joined the successful and highly regarded Small Cap investment team at Gartmore Investment Management, a position he held until 2008. Over the same time, Jonathan became heavily involved with the Christian Centre, Nottingham where he now chairs the strategic planning committee and also is responsible for the line management of several key members of staff.  In addition, Jonathan is now employed (on a part-time basis) to advise, primarily within the securities division, on strategy to the leading European investment banking group, Altium, a position he has held since March of this year.

Commenting on Jonathan's appointment, Malcolm Diamond MBE, Executive Chairman said:

He has clearly demonstrated through his successful City career that he has the ability to be analytical and systematic in his thought process; I believe that these skills, when added to those that already exist within the TR leadership team, will benefit the senior management and their people as we all work together to implement our revised strategy, which will provide the solid foundation to reposition the business for the future."

Jonathan joins Neil Chapman BA, FCA who was appointed to the New Trifast Board in March 2009 as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee.

There are no other matters which require to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
