Triad Group Plc28 October 2005 Contract Award Triad is delighted to announce it has been awarded a contract to develop andprovide ongoing support for an information management system for the TransportSecurity & Contingencies Directorate (TRANSEC) of the Department for Transport.TRANSEC is responsible for protecting the travelling public, transportfacilities and those employed in the transport industries, primarily from actsof terrorism, and for retaining public confidence in transport security. Thecontract was awarded following competitive tender under the S-CAT frameworkoperated by the Office of Government Commerce. The system will make it easier for TRANSEC to adopt a common approach to itsactivities across all modes of transport. Benefits include improvements in theway in which information is captured and analysed and increased efficiencies andflexibility in the way in which inspection effort is targeted. The total duration of the contract is 3 years with the first two phases beingdelivered in January and March 2006 by a team of 8 Triad staff. The system isbeing developed using Microsoft's .NET framework and SQL Server database.The financial impact of this contract on the Company's results will be reflectedin the results for the second half of the current financial year.
