Board Changes

TomCo Energy plc, the oil shale exploration and development company focused on using innovative technology to unlock unconventional hydrocarbon resources, announces the appointment of Malcolm Groat to the Board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Malcolm has a wide range of experience in corporate life, with roles as Chairman, Non-Executive Director, Chair of Audit, CEO, COO and CFO for a number of companies. He is an adviser on compliance and governance, strategy and operational improvement, and managing the risks of rapid change.

Malcolm holds an MA from St Andrews University, focused on global development and an MBA from Warwick Business School. In addition, he is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified with PwC in London. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Malcolm is currently, amongst other appointments, Non-Executive Director of Baronsmead Second Venture Trust Plc, a premium-listed FCA-regulated financial service company, and Non-Executive Director of Corps Security, a trust company that employs many ex-servicemen.

The CEO of TomCo, Chris Brown, said "I am very pleased Malcolm has agreed to join the Board of TomCo. I enjoyed working with him when he was a Non-Executive Director of London Mining Plc and his significant strategic and organisational experience will be invaluable to the Company as we move forward."

Additional information on Mr Malcolm Groat

The following additional information is provided in accordance with paragraph (g) of Schedule Two to the AIM Rules for Companies:

Maurice James Malcolm Groat, aged 56

As disclosed above, Mr Groat is a director of London Mining plc, which entered administration in 2014 with a deficiency to creditors of approximately $500 million.

There is no other information that is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph (g) of Schedule Two to the AIM Rules for Companies.
