As announced inΒ itsΒ interim results issued on Wednesday 26 NovemberΒ 2008,Β TelecomΒ plusΒ PLC, (trading as the Utility Warehouse), which supplies a wide range of utility services (gas, electricity, fixed line telephony, mobile telephony and broadband internet) to both residential and business customers,Β confirmsΒ that Andrew Lindsay MBEΒ has joined the Board in the role ofΒ Chief Operating Officer. HeΒ was formerly the Company's Commercial Director.Β Β
Andrew, 31,Β joinedΒ TelecomΒ plusΒ in April 2007Β after leading a management buy-out of Ryness Lighting & Electrical, aΒ London-basedΒ distributor and retailer of small electrical goodsΒ in 2006. HeΒ started his career with three yearsΒ as an analystΒ in the UK Mergers & Acquisitions team at Goldman Sachs.
AndrewΒ graduated fromΒ BrasenoseΒ College,Β OxfordΒ with a first class degree in GeographyΒ and represented the university in the OxfordΒ &Β Cambridge Boat Race three times. He subsequentlyΒ won a Gold MedalΒ rowing in the Men's VIIIΒ forΒ Great BritainΒ at the SydneyΒ Olympic GamesΒ in 2000.
The Company confirms that there is no further information to be disclosed under paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules in respect of the appointment of Andrew Lindsay as an executive director.
Mr Lindsay has a beneficial interest in 6,465Β ordinaryΒ sharesΒ of 5p each, representing approximately 0.01Β per cent.Β of the issued share capital of the Company.
