Director Declaration
As announced in its interim results issued on Wednesday 26 November 2008, Telecom plus PLC, (trading as the Utility Warehouse), which supplies a wide range of utility services (gas, electricity, fixed line telephony, mobile telephony and broadband internet) to both residential and business customers, confirms that Andrew Lindsay MBE has joined the Board in the role of Chief Operating Officer. He was formerly the Company's Commercial Director.
Andrew, 31, joined Telecom plus in April 2007 after leading a management buy-out of Ryness Lighting & Electrical, a London-based distributor and retailer of small electrical goods in 2006. He started his career with three years as an analyst in the UK Mergers & Acquisitions team at Goldman Sachs.
Andrew graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford with a first class degree in Geography and represented the university in the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race three times. He subsequently won a Gold Medal rowing in the Men's VIII for Great Britain at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.
The Company confirms that there is no further information to be disclosed under paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules in respect of the appointment of Andrew Lindsay as an executive director.
Mr Lindsay has a beneficial interest in 6,465 ordinary shares of 5p each, representing approximately 0.01 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.
