Yule Catto & Co PLC14 December 2007 Yule Catto & Co. plc Pre-Close Trading Statement Yule Catto is an international producer of speciality chemicals, supplied toglobal customers for use in a wide range of industries includingpharmaceuticals, FMCG, paints and adhesives Trading conditions for the Group in the second half of the year have beensimilar to those indicated in the Interim Statement, with results anticipated tobe in line with market expectations. Within Polymer Chemicals, steady volume growth and corrective actions tomitigate difficult raw material conditions will deliver a satisfactoryimprovement in overall profit. As previously advised, second half sales withinour Pharma business have been impacted by order phasing, resulting in secondhalf profitability being below that achieved in the first half. ImpactChemicals' trading has been similar to that achieved in the first half of theyear.
