Supermarket Income REIT plcΒ (LSE: SUPR), the real estate investment trust providing secure, inflation-protected, long income from grocery property in theΒ UK, announces that it has made an application for 1,898,161 New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the Premium Segment of the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA") and to trading on the Premium Segment of London Stock Exchange plc's Main Market for listed securities. It is expected that these New Ordinary Shares will be admitted to trading on or aroundΒ 22 August 2022.
The application is being made pursuant to the scrip dividend alternative in lieu of cash for the interim dividend for the period from 1 April 2022 to 30 June 2022. Elections for a scrip dividend were received in respect of 13.3% of the Ordinary Shares in issue as at the record date ofΒ 15 July 2022. When issued, these New Ordinary Shares will rankΒ pari passuΒ with the existing Ordinary Shares.
Following admission of the New Ordinary Shares, the Company's issued share capital will consist of 1,241,766,581 Ordinary Shares ofΒ Β£0.01Β each. With effect fromΒ 22 August 2022, the total number of issued shares with voting rights will be 1,241,766,581.
The above figure ofΒ 1,241,766,581 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or of a change to their interest in,Β Supermarket Income REIT plcΒ under theΒ FCA'sΒ Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
