 Announcing the official launch of Watchlock Pro

Wireless remote tracking and monitoring products company Starcom Plc (AIM: STAR) is pleased to announce the official launch of Watchlock Pro.

Watchlock Pro is the advanced version of the Watchlock - a reporting padlock which provides real time alerts and was awarded Physical Security Product of the Year Award at IFSEC 2012.

The Watchlock is an intelligent locking solution which is completely autonomous and battery powered, and can be utilised for many applications. Its main function is to provide security at remote places, properties and offsite locations, while also offering tracking and monitoring of mobile assets.

Watchlock Pro offers enhanced and more robust security. It runs off an improved processor, incorporates a GNSS (GPS/GLONASS) receiver, a new cellular modem and battery life increased six fold, to around six months with four transmissions per day. Additional technological innovations and unique capabilities are expected to be released in due course.

The official launch of Watchlock Pro will take place between 28-30 June, as part of the Company's participation in Expo Carga - Mexico City. Expo Carga is a large scale ibusiness event attracting visitors from around the world, including air, sea and road/rail cargo transport specialists, infrastructure, logistics operators, freight forwarders and associated service providers. The organisers anticipate up to 17,000 visitors will have the opportunity to be introduced to Watchlock Pro at the Expo Carga. The Company will also be showing its improved Tetis product and others from its portfolio of asset tracking technology products.
