Star Energy Group plc ("Star Energy" or "Company") Albury Phase 1 Gas Storage Project Star Energy has submitted its preliminary submission for a Storage AuthorisationOrder for its Albury Phase 1 gas storage project to the Department for Business,Enterprise & Regulatory Reform. The application is for permission to store up to 8.2 BCF (billion cubic feet) ofnatural gas in the existing, partially depleted Albury gas reservoir. A separate application will be made in due course for the modifications to theexisting wellsite, a Gas Processing Facility 8.5 kilometres away outside theArea of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and an Above Ground Installation atthe connection to the District Gas Network. The proposed scheme is designed to minimise the impact on the AONB, the widerenvironment and the local communities. The wells at Albury Park would be joinedto the gas processing facility at Furze Copse via underground pipeline.
