She is a highly experienced and respected technologist who will bring significant technology and transformation expertise and insight to the Board having operated across a variety of sectors and the Group's key markets. We look forward to benefiting from Diane's contributions at the Board and Committee discussions.

We would also like to thank Gay for her service to the Group during her nine years on the Board. In addition to her contribution as a member of the Board Risk Committee, I would particularly like to thank Gay for the dedication she put in to chairing the Board Financial Crime Risk Committee which ensured a number of important milestones were met in transforming the oversight of financial crime compliance at Standard Chartered.

We would also like to thank Carlson for his dedication and contribution during his time on the Board including his service as a member of the Audit and Board Risk Committees as well as representing the Group on numerous occasions in Hong Kong. We wish both Gay and Carlson the very best for the future."
