ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO ITS COMMITTEES

Standard Chartered PLC (the "Company") today announces that Dr Linda Yueh, independent non-executive director succeeds Jasmine Whitbread as Chair of the Company's Culture and Sustainability Committee and also joins its Governance and Nomination Committee, both with immediate effect. 

As previously announced Jasmine Whitbread retires from the Board with effect from today, 3 May 2023.

"We are delighted that Linda Yueh will succeed Jasmine Whitbread as Chair of the Culture and Sustainability Committee. Linda's wealth of highly relevant experience in leading and advising on matters relating to sustainability and culture will ensure continued strong oversight.

We would also like to thank Jasmine for her passion and dedication to the Group during her eight years on the Board. Jasmine has chaired the Culture and Sustainability committee with distinction and played a key role in the work of the Board. We wish Jasmine all the very best for the future."
