TRANSACTIONS IN OWN SHARES
SSE plc (the "Company") announces that it has purchased a further final 31 of its ordinary shares of 50 pence on the London Stock Exchange through Morgan Stanley and Co. International ("MSI"). These purchases were made as part of the Company's £125 million share buyback programme as announced on 28 September 2022. All shares were purchased from MSI as an "on exchange" transaction subject to the rules of the London Stock Exchange and in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at SSE's Annual General Meeting on 21 July 2022 and Chapter 12 of the Listing Rules. The purchases made today now complete the Share Buyback Programme which was incorrectly confirmed as completed in the Company's disclosure made on 1 December 2022

SSE purchased 3,452,042 ordinary shares in aggregate for cancellation from MSI in connection with the final tranche of the Programme.
