FINAL DIVIDEND FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2023

SCRIP ALTERNATIVE

SSE plc was notified on 25 August 2023 that a total of 24,996 shareholders have elected to receive the final dividend for the year ended 31 March 2023 of 67.7 pence per ordinary share in respect of 44,063,520 ordinary shares in the form of Scrip dividend. This will result in a reduction in final dividend cash funding of £29,831,003 and an overall Scrip dividend take-up of 18.04% for the financial year ended 31 March 2023.

A total of 1,779,529 new ordinary shares, fully paid, will be issued on 21 September 2023, representing an increase of 0.16% on the issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) on the dividend record date of 28 July 2023. The relevant Scrip Reference Share Price was 1,676 pence per ordinary share.
