SOFTWARE RADIO TECHNOLOGY PLC SRT signs strategic AIS agreement
Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has signed a strategic agreement with an existing customer to develop and deliver a new generation of AIS products during 2011.
The customer is one of the world's top three marine electronics companies and SRT will use its new range of AIS technologies to deliver a series of new low cost AIS products for this customer. The products will replace the existing products being supplied to the same customer by SRT and are expected to start shipping from September 2011.
As part of the agreement SRT and the customer have made a commitment to work more closely together to exploit AIS market opportunities.
Simon Tucker, SRT's Chief Executive Officer, said: "Over the past few years we have formed a close relationship with this customer who is primarily focused on the leisure market. This agreement takes our relationship to a new level for the long term. Using SRT's new range of AIS technologies will ensure that the customer has a market leading AIS offer within its extensive portfolio of marine electronics."
