SOFTWARE RADIO TECHNOLOGY PLC AIS Agreement Signed The Directors of Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT") are pleased to announcethat SRT has signed L3 Communications Corporation (Aviation Recorders Division)("L3") as a customer for its AIS technology.L3 is a US-based company that will use technology provided by SRT to create anAIS Aids to Navigation ("AtoN") product for sale through its internationaldistributor network. The AtoN product will mainly be installed on buoys and isan important element of the growing national AIS systems. They providepermanent hazard warnings to shipping and vital environment information ontides, temperature and wind to authorities.SRT and L3 expect the product to be one of the first into the market meetingall required specifications. Prototypes are expected in September 2006 withproduction by the end of the year. SRT will be paid an initial fee with ongoingroyalties on each product sold.Simon Tucker, SRT's Commercial Director said: "Following the successful launchof our Class B technology earlier this year, we took the decision to investfurther in our AIS business through the development of the other elements of anAIS system.
