NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS BY PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES ('PDMRs')
On 12 September 2022, in the announcement of Rupert Soames's impending retirement, it was stated that as part of prudent financial planning and portfolio management, he would be reducing his holdings in the Company as he prepares for retirement. It was further stated that he would retain interests well in excess of that required by the Group Remuneration Policy for at least the three years following his retirement from the Company in September 2023.
In line with this, on Thursday 24th November 2022, Rupert sold 1,885,000 ordinary shares at an average price of £1.6964. Together with the announcement of the sale of 1,885,000 ordinary shares on 9th November, this takes the number of shares that Rupert has sold as part of his pre-retirement portfolio management to 3,770,000. In the latest Annual Report, Rupert's total share interests at 31st December 2021 amounted to 10,631,281 shares. He has told the Company that he does not intend to sell any more shares in the near future, and at least until after the publication of the Company's results for 2022.
This announcement is made in accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation 596/2014 (as it forms part of UK law pursuant to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018). The notification of dealing forms can be found below
