Serica Energy plc21 November 2007 Serica Energy plc ("Serica" or the "Company") SERICA INDONESIAN OPERATIONS UPDATE London, 21 November 2007 - Serica Energy plc (AIM & TSX-V: SQZ) is pleased toannounce that the Global Santa Fe 136 jack-up drilling rig has completed itscurrent operations and is now being prepared for mobilisation to Serica'sBiliton PSC in the Java Sea, Indonesia, where it will drill two explorationwells. It is expected that the first well, the Batara Ismaya North #1, will be spuddedat the start of December 2007 and, later that month, the rig will spud thesecond Biliton well, Batara Indra North #1. Serica has a 45% interest in theBiliton PSC and is the operator. The majority of Serica's costs for these twowells are being carried by a farminee.
