Appointment of Peter James as Group Finance Director
Solid State plc (AIM: SOLI), the AIM listed supplier of specialist industrial/ruggedised computers, electronic components, secure communications systems and battery power solutions to the electronics market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Owen James as Group Finance Director commencing on 20 February 2017.
Peter James, aged 37, joins from IQE plc where he has held the post of Group Financial Controller for the last four years. Whilst at IQE, Peter focussed on multi-site manufacturing, technology supply chain, acquisitions and listed company reporting. Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 2004, where he spent 11 years across both the Audit and Transaction Services divisions.
Tony Frere, Non-Executive Chairman of Solid State, said:
"We are very pleased to welcome Peter to Solid State. He has excellent pedigree and very impressive industry experience that will be of benefit to the Group.
"The Group has taken steps to strengthen the team of Executive Directors and we believe that we are now well resourced for the next phase of Solid State's growth."
