Strategic Natural Resources plc (AIM:SNRP) was informed on 9 March 2011 that on 21 January 2011 Cooch 1095 Limited acquired 10,000,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company (the "Ordinary Shares"), equivalent to 9.6% of the then issued share capital of SNR. In addition, on the same day the Company was further informed that on 10 February 2011 Cooch 1095 Limited acquired an additional 5,000,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company making Cooch 1095 Limited's total holding of 15,000,000 Ordinary Shares equivalent to 13.75% of the current issued share capital of SNR.
The Company has been advised that these shares have been acquired in accordance with the terms of the agreement between Acharnian Mining Limited, a 100% subsidiary of the Company and Rapitrade 644 (Pty) Ltd ("Rapitrade") dated 7 November 2010 (the "Agreement"). The Agreement afforded Rapitrade, or a company nominated by Rapitrade, the right to subscribe for these shares in SNR, which Cooch 1095 has subsequently done. The board understands that Rapitrade does not, and never has had, any beneficial interest in these shares.
