Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) on January 30, 2020 announced that its

Board of Directors has authorized the adoption of electronic voting.

Adoption of Electronic Voting

- The Board of Directors on January 30, 2020 approved the adoption and implementation of electronic voting in

accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 368-4 (Exercise of Voting Rights by Electronic Means) of the Commercial

Act.

- Electronic Voting will be available for the first time at the upcoming 51st Annual General Meeting, allowing

shareholders to exercise their voting rights without being physically present at the meeting.

- The procedure of and guidelines for electronic voting will be announced through the convening notice for the

Annual General Meeting.
