Charitable Contribution
The Board of Directors of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("SEC") on November 30, 2023, authorized the following contribution:
1. Contribution to Community Chest of Korea's annual fundraising campaign for 2024
- SEC will contribute KRW 8.65 billion to the Heemang 2024 Nanum Campaign of Community Chest of Korea, a social welfare corporation, to help the underprivileged as a part of our corporate social responsibility.
2. Contribution to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
- As a part of its partnership with the UNDP and to support the United Nation's effort to achieve The Global Goals*, SEC will make a charitable contribution sourced from the Samsung Global Goals application, our user-participation sustainability platform, and the matching fund.
* A set of 17 goals adopted at the UN General Assembly in September 2015 to achieve a sustainable future for all.
