Charitable Contribution
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("SEC") on April 26, 2018 announced that its Board of Directors has authorized donations to the following foundations and educational organizations.
1. KRW 19.5 billion to Samsung Welfare Foundation
2. KRW 41.5 billion to Samsung Life Public Welfare Foundation
3. KRW 15.0 billion to Sungkyunkwan University
4. KRW 4.0 billion to Ho-Am Foundation
As a responsible corporate citizen, SEC seeks to address social problems and enrich the social environment through corporate contributions and its CSR programs.
※ Note: Pursuant to the Korean Fair Trade Act, a donor is required to disclose contributions to charitable organizations if the amount of the donation exceeds KRW 5 billion and the recipient is an affiliated entity of the donor.
