Charitable Contribution

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("Samsung"), on July 31, 2024, announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the following contribution.

Contribution to the Ho-Am Foundation (the "Foundation")

- Samsung will contribute KRW 3.41 billion to the Foundation to be used for its presentation of the

 Samsung Ho-Am Prizes in the following six fields:

∙ Physics/Mathematics,

∙ Chemistry/Biology,

∙ Engineering,

∙ Medicine,

∙ Art, and

∙ Volunteering

Donations to Other Foundations and Educational Organizations

- KRW 20.00 billion to Samsung Life Public Welfare Foundation

- KRW 12.32 billion to Sungkyunkwan University

The amounts listed above will be paid within the calendar year 2024.

* Note: Pursuant to the Korea Fair Trade Act, a donor is required to disclose its donation to charitable organizations if such donation amount exceeds KRW 10 billion and the recipient is an affiliated entity of the donor.
