Total Voting Rights

Strategic Minerals Plc (AIM: SML), announces that, for the purposes of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue at 31 January 2012 was 403,096,393. The Company does not hold any Ordinary Shares in treasury. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company was 403,096,393.

Following the announcement by the Company on the 26 January 2012 regarding the acquisition of further tenements in Australia, application has been made for the 5,000,000 new ordinary shares in the Company to be admitted to trading on AIM ("Admission") and it is anticipated that Admission will occur on 02 February 2012. Following Admission, SML will have 408,096,393 ordinary shares in issue. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
