Net Asset Value and Other Information

The Company today announces that at the close of business on 30 September 2024, the Company's unaudited Net Asset Value was US$427,439,821 (30 June 2024: US$378,735,624) representing a Net Asset Value per ordinary share of US$0.8326 (30 June 2024: US$0.7377).

NAV takes into account the fair value of unrealised investments. In accordance with the valuation policies of the Company, real estate related investments are valued by third parties on 30 June and 31 December each year. In addition, and in accordance with the Company's valuation policies, investments that have been held for less than 12-months are held at cost unless there is evidence of a diminution in the value of that investment. Although the investment manager believes there not to be a diminution in the value of investments held for less than 12- months, there is a significant increase in economic uncertainty which is evidenced by more volatile asset prices and currency exchange rates and therefore cost may not correspond to an appropriate measure of fair value in the current environment. 

On 25 September 2023, the board of directors (the "Board") announced that the Company had adopted an updated strategy, being an orderly realisation of its investments with a view to maximising return on investment for Symphony's shareholders. As a result, the Company will not necessarily pay regular ordinary dividends but will instead return value to shareholders by way of extraordinary dividends as and when investments have been realised. Extraordinary dividends, will not be recurring on a regular basis and, when paid in the future, will depend on various factors including but not limited to excess liquidity and divestments.
