Interim Management Statement - Consistent Strategy Delivering Results

Speedy Hire Plc, the UK's largest provider of tools and equipment for hire and associated services, with a growing presence supporting its customers internationally, is today releasing its interim management statement in respect of the period 1 October 2012 to 12 February 2013.

In the UK & Ireland, Q3 revenue* was up 2.0% against the same period in the prior year, a year to date improvement of 2.2%. We have also continued to make good progress in our International business where Q3 revenue* was up 37% against the same period in the prior year, a year to date improvement of 63%. Importantly both margins and returns have continued to improve across the Group.

Speedy's consistent strategy, market positioning and strong market share in key sectors continues to underpin the on-going progress being made by the Group. Performance in Q4 to date enables the Board to reiterate its confidence in meeting its expectations for the full financial year.
