SDL Announces Release of Multilingual eDiscovery Solution

Relativity Connector Enables Translation of Legal Documents Across 70

Language Pairs

MAIDENHEAD, UK-October 3, 2018 - SDL (LSE: SDL), a global leader in content creation, translation, management and delivery, today announces the general availability of its SDL Multilingual eDiscovery Solution, providing legal professionals with instant, and secure translation of foreign language case-related content - in any format.

In today's digital world, cross-border legal disputes are on the rise. Legal firms now handle vast amounts of electronically stored information (ESI) across a variety of languages and formats when dealing with international investigations. Everything from emails, documents, presentations, databases, voicemails, audio and video files, social media and websites needs to be accessed and analyzed by legal teams across the globe. Often, it takes days to translate a document manually, with no real guarantee that the document will be relevant to the case.

The SDL Multilingual eDiscovery Solution addresses these challenges, offering secure, fast, and high-quality translations across large volumes of content and document types. The solution combines the industry's leading language services and technology, SDL MultiTrans® Translation Management System (TMS) and SDL Machine Translation, with RelativityOne, a leading eDiscovery cloud-based platform from Relativity®.

Legal professionals only need to submit documents that require translation from within the Relativity platform, and translated files will be returned instantly for the user's analysis and review. Content is translated to the highest industry standards, helping to eliminate any claims of spoliation in a litigation case.

SDL already works with 19 of the top 20 global legal firms, and has a 25 year history in providing secure translation and digital services to the industry.

The eDiscovery solution is based on SDL's superior MT engine, which has evolved from close collaboration between MT developers and MT-savvy linguists and translators across multiple industries to fine-tune the engine for even higher quality translations.
