Board Change

5 November 2012 - Maidenhead, UK - SDL plc, a leader in the emerging market for Global Information Management ("GIM") solutions, today announces that John Hunter, Chief Executive Officer, has decided to leave SDL to pursue other business interests.

Mark Lancaster, currently chairman of SDL, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis whilst a search process for a replacement to Mr Hunter is completed.

The Board wishes to acknowledge the considerable contribution made by Mr. Hunter in his most recent role as Chief Executive Officer and previously as Chief Financial Officer of SDL.

Mark Lancaster, Chairman, commented today: "I have worked closely with John and wish him well for the future. The significant investment we have made in management in the past few years means that the Board is in a position to be able to give appropriate time and consideration to finding the right successor to John."
