Board Changes

SpaceandPeople (AIM:SAL), the retail, promotional and brand experience specialist which facilitates the sale of space in high footfall venues, announces that as part of its ongoing succession planning process, Chief Executive Officer, Matthew Bending, will today retire from the Board and step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer.

Having led SpaceandPeople since co-founding it in 2000, Matthew has decided to concentrate on other opportunities. The Board has appointed Nancy Cullen to succeed Matthew Bending as Chief Executive Officer of the Group. Nancy Cullen, who co-founded SpaceandPeople with Matthew Bending, was previously Chief Operating Officer.

George Watt, Chairman of SpaceandPeople said "I would like to thank Matthew for his immense contribution to the Group over the past twenty years, including the expansion of the business into Germany and for steering the Group through the recent challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. On behalf of the Board and all of the Group's employees, I wish him all the best for the future. I am also delighted that Nancy Cullen is taking over the role of Chief Executive Officer at such an important time for the Group. She has immense knowledge of the business and the commercialisation industry and will be integral to the continued future success of the business."

Upon being appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Nancy said "I also would like to thank Matt. Without his dedication, passion and initial vision for SpaceandPeople the company would not be in the position that it is in today. I am personally grateful for to him for 20 years of a successful partnership and I look forward to continuing the success that we achieved over the coming years."
