Further to the announcement of 28th October 2015, Red Rock Resources plc awaits final documentation for the transaction. Further details will be announced as appropriate.
Mid Migori Mining - Kenya
Further to the announcements of 7th May 2015 and 27th May 2015, Red Rock announces that the scheduled hearing took place in the judicial review proceedings filed by the Company as ex parte applicant to protect its license interests, at which orders of prohibition, certiorari and mandamus were being sought.
At the hearing, the Company sought judgement on the application. The government respondents had not filed either a replying affidavit or any pleadings and sought additional time to comply with the Court's directions. This was granted by the Court, a new timetable was set, and the matter is now scheduled for a hearing on 27th January, 2016.
Andrew Bell, Chairman, states: "Final details surrounding the option agreement at Shoat's Creek remain in progress with completion considered imminent. The Company remains in discussions with parties related to the project regarding additional opportunities in the region and looks forward to the start of work on the two wells currently agreed in order to complete the transition of the Company to a revenue-generating oil producer.
In Kenya, the Company continues to feel confident in the strength of its case, and regrets the inordinate delays caused by the continuing failure to challenge its application.
