Red Rock Resources plc ("Red Rock" or the "Company"), the mining and exploration company with an iron ore project in Greenland, a producing gold mine in Colombia, advanced gold and copper exploration in Kenya, and interests in steel feed, uranium and rare earths, is pleased to report that Jupiter Mines Limited (ASX:JMS) ("JMS") has announced that production of manganese ore has begun at the Tshipi Borwa mine in South Africa.

JMS reports that the first manganese ore was mined from the 1.7 billion Rand Tshipi Borwa mine near Kathu in the Northern Cape on 10 October 2012, a few weeks earlier than originally planned. Over 40,000 tons of mined ore are reported to be available for processing and the mine expects to begin shortly to rail the manganese to Port Elizabeth utilising Tshipi's newly constructed and dedicated rail siding. The mine expects to be producing manganese for well over six decades.

The Tshipi Borwa mine is 49.9% owned by JMS. Red Rock owns 60,200,832 JMS shares representing 2.64% of the issued share capital of JMS.
