Roc Oil Company Limited13 September 2005 13 September 2005 ROC OIL COMPANY LIMITED ("ROC") STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE MAURITANIA OFFSHORE DRILLING UPDATE ROC advises that the following release was made earlier today by WoodsidePetroleum Ltd: "Woodside Mauritania Pty. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Woodside PetroleumLtd., reports the following activity offshore Mauritania since the last reportissued on 6 September 2005. PSC Area B: Espadon-1A Exploration Well The Espadon-1A well was drilled by the 'Stena Tay' drill rig to a final depth of3,042 metres. Wireline logs were then acquired for the well. Preliminaryanalysis of these logs and data acquired while drilling indicate that nosignificant hydrocarbons were encountered in the well. At midnight on 12 September 2005, preparations were underway to plug and abandonthe well. The 'Stena Tay' will then move to the Tevet-2 well location. Chinguetti Development Wells The 'West Navigator' drillship continues to perform completion work onChinguetti Development wells. Woodside does not plan to issue regularannouncements regarding operations on Chinguetti development wells, but will doso if necessary to comply with its continuous disclosure obligations under theASX Listing Rules. General All reported drilling depths are referenced to the rig rotary table and alltimes are Universal Time (UTC) (Mauritanian time).
