Record plc PDMR / PCA Shareholding
Record plc ("Record"), the specialist currency and derivatives manager, today announces the transfer of shares on 4 March 2022 by way of gift from Neil Record to the Record Charitable Trust.
Neil Record, Chairman of Record, commented:
"I am in the process of setting up a scholarship fund which I will Chair and an external investment adviser will manage, for academically able students to win scholarships to selective secondary schools. The purpose of the fund is to help close the funding gap for able children whose parents are unable to afford private school fees, a cause close to my heart as a beneficiary myself of the direct grant school system as a child.
I am therefore embarking on a funding programme for this educational fund, utilising Record plc shares which I currently hold in my own name. Consequently, two million shares have been gifted to the Record Charitable Trust. Over the longer-term, the Trust will sell these shares in a series of orderly tranches in consultation with Record plc's Corporate Broker, to provide the funds for scholarships, and to diversify its holdings."
