Quartix Ltd. announces two senior appointments

Quartix Ltd., one of Europe's leading suppliers of telematics systems and services, is pleased to announce the appointment of two directors to its board; Richard Finlow as Group Commercial Director and Laura Seffino as Technical Director. Quartix Ltd. is the main operating business of Quartix Holdings plc.

Richard Finlow, Group Commercial Director, joined Quartix on 8th April having moved back to the UK from Bradford Pennsylvania, where he held the position of Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing for Zippo Manufacturing Company since January 2016. Richard joined Zippo in 2010 as Sales Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and was subsequently promoted to the role of Managing Director, Europe, in 2013, prior to his promotion and transfer to the USA. In his most recent position, he held responsibility for all global Sales and Marketing across 180 markets.

Richard began his sales and marketing career with Gillette as a senior brand manager, spending 6 years across various product categories in the early 1990s. Subsequent to that he spent a similar time with Suntory Group as Regional Director, Latin America and the Caribbean focused on market development and channel management.

Richard is a fluent Spanish speaker, holds a master's degree in Business Administration and is a member of the Institute of Directors. He is based at Quartix's Newtown offices in Powys.

Laura Seffino, Technical Director was appointed to the board of Quartix Ltd in February 2019, having joined as Head of Software in June 2018. Prior to joining Quartix Laura spent 17 years in software development, project management and delivery roles at 1Spatial plc, Cambridge. She joined 1Spatial as a software engineer and was promoted to the position of Development Manager in 2015, following which she was again promoted in 2017 to the role of Head of Software Delivery.

Laura has brought significant experience to Quartix introducing agile methodologies, continuous integration and continuous delivery, alongside her extensive knowledge of a broad range of technology stacks. Since joining Quartix, Laura launched the most significant Quartix software update and redesign in late 2018, which included localisation of the software for Polish and Spanish markets.

Laura has bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science from the Universidad Nacional del Sur in Argentina and the State University of Campinas, Brazil, respectively. Spanish is her mother tongue.

Laura's promotion follows a planned handover of responsibilities from Bill Hibbert, who informed the company of his retirement plans in early 2018 following 10 years of service at the company. Bill Hibbert remains a significant shareholder and will continue working with Quartix on a range of projects for our core fleet tracking business.
