Fruitflow wins prestigious industry innovation awards

Provexis plc ("Provexis" or the "Company"), the life-science business that discovers, develops and licenses scientifically-proven functional food, medical food and dietary supplement technologies, is pleased to report that Fruitflow®, the company's heart-health technology, has won two Health Ingredients Excellence Awards at the Health Ingredients Europe Conference 2010, a major trade show which is currently taking place in Madrid. Fruitflow® was awarded the overall award for 'Most Innovative Health Ingredient' at the conference and in addition won best innovation in the 'Heart Health' category.

Fruitflow® helps maintain a healthy cardiovascular system by keeping platelets smooth and reducing platelet aggregation. In December 2009 it was the first product to receive a health claim under Article 13(5) from the European Food Safety Authority. In June 2010 Provexis entered into a long term Alliance Agreement with DSM Nutrition, the global ingredients supplier, who will market and distribute Fruitflow®.
