Persimmon Plc ("the Company") - Transfer of Shares held in Treasury

Persimmon Plc announces that on 26 March 2012 it transferred 9,363 Ordinary Shares held in Treasury to participants in the Persimmon Plc Savings Related Share Option Scheme 1998 to satisfy the exercise of options at £3.24, £3.26, £3.65 and £4.00.

Following these transfers the Company holds 188,138 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 302,403,293 Ordinary Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
